With the weekend upon us, I am putting out a challenge to you. A FUN challenge. This challenge is pretty simple and pretty thoughtful. The challenge is to write 1 letter to 1 person. That’s it.
I became “inspired” to write after a trip down the Dollar Section at my local Michaels store. All kinds of adorable note cards … all of which ended up in my cart….but I had to take a second to wonder what I was going to do with these note cards?
Email is good…. but….
So much social media lends very little time to do something as simple as writing a letter. Like, a real letter that you write with a pretty pen, on fun paper, add a stamp and put in a mail box. Know what I’m talking about?
That rare feeling when something comes in the mail addressed to you that isn’t a credit card application or an offer to extend your car’s warranty. A euphoric feeling that usually only happens on a birthday or winter holiday.
Snail Mail…
My challenge to you (& me): bring letter writing back. All you have to do is take 20 minutes (max) to write one card to one person.
Will you join in on this challenge? If you do, let me know in the comments! I just mailed off a letter to my college roomie, Meg. As much as we connect on Facebook, snail mail is an unexpected party in a letter!
Hey sis. Excellent excuse to drop me a few lines!!!
Send me your mailing address to my email… xx
Yikes, if I write one sentence my hand starts cramping (that’s how long it has been). I loved loved the picture that shoes 10 years ago! That is sooo funny and soooo true!! I love that you are trying to bring letters back. It seems like now you even send email thank you’s instead of hand written ones!

I love this! My best friend is currently in DC for the summer and I’m thinking I may be her new pen pal 🙂

I absolutely love snail mail!!! I randomly will leave cute little cards and notes in my best friends mailboxes (they both live in my town) it’s way more personal and it’s such a nice surprise these days considering no one actually writes anymore, sad but true. xo

Love that first image! SO true! And I seriously get so happy when I receive REAL mail {not bills or junk} in the mailbox! I will definitely take you up on this challenge 🙂
This is such a good idea! That comic is hilariously true…emails are a nightmare these days haha!

I love writing notes- I usually do a couple a year, and then I mail everyone valentines on top of that. It is a lost art!

I love writing snail mail…I truly do. And I never do enough of it…but I’m always so embarrassed to because my handwriting is AWFUL!
I adore this challenge! I love a handwritten note and I think it’s fabulous that you are challenging us to keep it alive! It’s worlds different than an email in my opinion!
