Spring has “officially” sprung. Kinda. Sorta. Do we wear our spring wardrobe if temps are still in winter mode? Or do we wait? Or what?
Answer: Transitioning into your spring wardrobe is easier than you think. With a (seriously) simple math equation, you can start to wear brighter hues while still keeping warm. It’s definitely not an “all or nothing” when it comes to what to wear for each season. Knowing how to mix, match and mingle pieces from different seasons is the key!
Pairing is Caring!
When mingling and matching spring and winter pieces, you need to stick to one equation to master the mix. So take note… there might be a quiz on this at the end. Because it’s a fashionable math problem:
Pair 1 “winter” piece ➕ 1 “spring” piece = Spring Transitional Look
SPRING Moto jacket ➕ WINTER long-sleeve top/dark denim =
SPRING Floral kimono jacket & sandals ➕ WINTER long-sleeve top/denim =
SPRING lighter weight cashmere sweater ➕ WINTER long-sleeve top/Hunter Boots =
SPRING floral dress ➕ WINTER Thigh-High Boots =
SPRING white denim ➕ WINTER long-sleeve top/closed toe shoes =
Keep that fashionable math equation in your mind as you create spring looks. Despite temperate wonkiness, you can still keep your outfits airy and light while staying cozy and chic! What wardrobe tips do you ❤️ to use in-between seasons?
You always look great. I love your style and I feel like you are kind of my kindred spirit because I wear a lot of the same styles as you do, but I don’t think I pull them off as well LOL 🙂 <3
I love this “transition” concept. It makes total sense especially in a colder Spring like we’re having this year. Great style!
Layers and more layers. What I start with in the morning is not what I have on in the late afternoon. Love the colorful jackets and long cover ups.
These are all great choices and I love the shoes you’ve paired with them all. I had started putting up all of my winter clothes and then the cold set in. I’m trying to figure out what I can or can’t wear during our cold spring, fashion wise.
These are some lovely looks! I like all the colors. I tend to just stick to jeans and t-shirts for the spring. If it’s chilly, I just grab a jacket or long sleeved shirts.
I am totally loving that blush pink moto jacket on you. I agree, choosing what to wear on those chillier spring days can get totally challenging.
This post is right up my alley because it is SO COLD in Chicago for SO LONG in the Spring. Loving your tip of layers and feeling inspired to get some more floral pieces to spice up my Spring!
I love everything that you have here. I am so sick of it being cold and I’m so excited that spring is basically here, and dressing in layers is perfect for this unpredictable weather. It looks casual yet dressy at the same time. I really like it a lot.
I love your style always. These all look and sound amazing. It’s still pretty chilly here, and after this weekend I’ m hoping I can fit back into some of my clothes – this will be so helpful!
I’m a clinger. I cling onto the shorts when it’s clearly too cold, the winter jacket when a lighter one is all that’s needed. These are great looks and tips for the transition
Love these looks! It’s typically cold in my state during the spring months. Can’t wait to put similar looks together.
Yeah we just got snow, so not putting the winter gear away yet, but I love the idea of wearing brighter colors.
I was so ready to break out my cute little Ts only for it to be too chilly still. I was so bummed but it was just warm enough that my other clothes would burn me up.
Your style is right up my alley! I think I am the only one out there who doesn’t own a pair of white denim. They do look great for spring!
These all look nice. Perfect for Michigan’s cool spring weather. I really like the Floral kimono jacket & sandals a lot.
LOVE all of these outfits, especially the red kimono!! It give s a pop of color and can still keep you warm!!
The transitioning of the wardrobe to spring is kinda challenging. Your outfits manage that very well. Will surely take a leaf out of your styles.
I’m loving your style girl. And yes it’s springtime and it’s freezing! These are great choices and tips!
Your spring floral kimono jacket is the winner equation to me! Gives off a laid back look perfect for a chic girl in translational season 🙂
