Statement sneakers. Can we chat about how we feel about this?
After years and years (plus a few painful minutes more) of wearing heels and uncomfortable shoes, stylish sneakers are a major win for the foot! Without looking like we walked out of gym class, we can now wear sneakers daily and look stylish. Fashionably acceptable sneakers/tennis shoes/gym shoes have made it. But – there are some rules on how to master this comfy shoe.

✔️ Rule #1: Monochromatic
- Tone-on-tone outfit: Sophisticated with sneakers.
- Sneakers in the Same Tone as your Outfit:
- Keeps your look modern.
- Want Extra? Add in 1 accent piece (bag, jewelry…) for a style pop.
- Sneakers NOT in the same Tone as your Outfit:
- Wear colorful/embellished/enhanced/ sneakers.
- Focal point (aka all eyes on the sneakers…)

✔️ Rule #2: Fresh
- Balance.
- Masculine outfit? Choose sneakers with a feminine bow, embellishment or enhancements (like pearls).
- Simple outfit? Jeans and a white tee or joggers with a button down pairs perfectly with whimsical sneakers.
- Street style: Modern takes on tennies lets you get away with pairing sneakers with “almost” any outfit.

- Busy/bright/big on prints?
- Keep sneakers simple.
- White sneakers are always a no-brainer – but be sure to keep them “white”. Cleaning sneakers is now a thing.
- Solid color sneakers in a tone/tint from the print in your outfit ties it all together!

I am all about wearing a comfortable shoe. I think that’s probably why I wear flip flops so much. (I live in Florida at the beach) These are totally all cute, and I’d wear just about any of them.

I love this post! We just moved sunny San Diego I wear mostly flip flops or sneakers but I’ve been trying to figure out how to be comfortable doing so. I’m used to cold weather options. Now I can get a little more creative.

Comfort and style are what I go for in a shoe. I’m mostly a flip-flops gal (From sunny Florida), but I really like these shoes.

I SO love this trend! I’ve always hated that if you don’t wear heels, your shoes just aren’t that cute. These stylish sneakers solve that problem, and I still get to feel comfortable.

Ok, so I followed your guidelines for the capsule wardrobe. I am on my way. I got rid of 6 bags of clothing that didn’t fit, I didn’t wear or didn’t follow the guidelines. I still have too many, but I have about 75% less than before. One of the things I was in need of was sneakers, so this post is helping me bunches.
