One benefit of a new year is new planners! I have been stalking two planners; the Day Designer by Whitney English and the Passion Planner from a campaign on KickStarter. As much as I was hoping to get my hands on the KickStarter one, the shipping date was late March. No bueno. So, onto my other crush. The Day Designer.
Checking EVERY online retailer that sells the Day Designer and striking out with each retailer, I almost gave up. But I knew that a great planner was still awaiting. Literally stalking the countdown at DayDesigner.com until the restock went up, the second the sale was live I jumped on the checkout as soon as I got one into my cart.
I was among the lucky ones. I got a Day Designer <insert squeal>…
Why so excited? Here’s why…
Goal planning broken down into many categories…
Discovering your mission and why for the year…
Outlining your passions and other areas to explore during the upcoming year…
Tools to measure your goals…
Daily schedule keeper…
Daily management of a dozen different important parts and pieces of life…
Areas to doodle…
Areas to reflect gratitude…
Priority lists for fun areas and areas to consider…
Thick paper… solid (and trendy cute) cover…gold corners…
Essentially it’s your BFF of not only organizing your day, but organizing your thoughts, your goals, your visions, your reflections, your budget and oodles more.
I know that this will be a planner that I will use daily.
How do you organize your day…your ideas…your big picture goals? How do you measure if you’ve reached them? If you are looking for a tool to help guide you through the process, I would highly recommend the Day Designer. Put your name on the wait list to be ready to JUMP when it becomes available!

This planner looks pretty awesome. I have one, two actually for the year (one for work, one for blogging) but maybe I’ll check this out next year. It looks really pretty and helpful.
This year I am ALL about planners. I need to organize everything! 🙂
This is a GREAT planner! I used it for about 6 months last year, but switched to the Design Love Planner because I like to carry my planner with me and the DD was just too big and heavy for me! That and I didn’t really need a single page per day (even though it is nice to have so much space!). Despite my deflection…still a FANTASTIC planner!! So glad you snagged one!!! 🙂
Oooh… I will now need to check out the Design Love Planner! 🙂
I was debating on getting this planner this year, but I was able to snag one of the Passion Planners and it just arrived last weekend!!! So far I’m loving it, but I really think I’m going to be designing my own one of these days because I just haven’t found a planner laid out exactly the way I want. I might just have to try the Day Designer next year 🙂 xo Liz http://www.4evermysweetpea.com
These Day Designers are like gold… so hard to get! But, the Passion Planner looks SO SO fabulous! Wish I could have snagged one of those. Just too impatient to wait until the March delivery date. 🙂
I have one too! I used it for a few days only, then got tired to carrying it around. I wish I could have made more use of it. It’s so lovely and well organized. For now I just make a mess of stickies around my monitor. Seriously that’s the only thing that works for me. I won’t even look at my phone…too much work. 😉
I hope you make good use of it! Do the worksheets in the beginning. They are so helpful. 😀
Its ALL about finding what works for you! I can picture your sea of post-its! Enjoying the beginning pages, really helping me clarify! 🙂
OMG I HAVE BEEN WANTING THIS!!! But it’s sold out! And on ebay it’s over $100, crazy!!!! I just downloaded the one to try out from your link! (I didn’t know you could do this!) Thanks so much for letting us know about it!!!
Whoa – over $100?! That is insanity. Be sure to get on the waitlist… you never know when more might become available!
This is adorable! Wow I can’t get over how perfect this is!
It is super pretty! 🙂
The Passion Planner looks awesome, and this one is super pretty! I have issues with using really beautiful planners though because I feel like I’m completely ruining it if I make a mistake while writing something down, hahaha. ._. so sad. Thanks for letting me know about the trial version! 😛
haha – I know what you mean about messing it up! But… I bought a bunch of pretty colored pens so I hope that will make my mess-ups look a little more playful and fun! 😉
I love that planner! I’ve actually started making my own so I can customize it to exactly what I want.
You are SUPER motivated! I think that perhaps NEXT year I might try to make my own, but for now I am loving her style/format! 🙂
I ended up designing my own line of planners because I was having a hard time finding one that allowed me to track things (health, fertility, fitness, etc.) on a daily basis. These are really pretty planners, though. You’re lucky that you got in right when they restocked!
So fab that you design your own! I can’t believe how popular these planners are! 🙂
Such a beauty! I am a huge planner junkie, currently obsessed with kikki.K.
I need to check that one out! Thanks for sharing and stopping by! 🙂
My pleasure
I have stuck to my Lilly Pulitzer planner for so long, but am loving the way this one is organized!!
Ooooh… what is NOT to love about Lilly Pulitzer. Adore her prints! Check out the free download of the Day Designer and see if you find that format helpful. Its a great way to play around with other planners and scope things out! 🙂
I have a Vera Bradley daily/monthly planner and I’m loving it. These Day Designers keep popping up everywhere though, so I’m becoming quite interested in them! It’s amazing how daily planners are not only a list of dates and to-dos, but they essentially become our journal and our lifeline! These are some awesome finds. I’m glad you got the Day Designer at least!
You’re so right about the planners are now becoming a conglomeration of several parts… including a diary and journal! Love it! And I think the key is sticking with something that works for you, so that is awesome that you are loving your Vera Bradley! 🙂
I’ve heard so many rave reviews about the Day Planner now…I might just have to take the leap and splurge a little! Right now, I’m using a basic planner from Target that I bedazzled with my monogram on the front to make it “me.” It works for now, but I need to get a “real” planner for my blogging endeavors soon!

Anything from Target is fabulous… but get on the wait list for the Day Planner now! 🙂
