Hate journaling? Wish you had time? Feel guilty about missing journal entries? Or wish you could just jot down ideas but then feel like your words look like gobbly gook on the page? Do you envision “real” journaling as sitting on a picturesque couch, with a fluffy blanket and Kate Spade slippers, while sipping on hot cocoa and contemplating big ideas as you record them peacefully with a fancy pen? Ready to get real? You need this book.
Extraordinary Ordinary Moments is the i-ching of journaling. It’s the solution to any and all issues you probably have experienced in journaling. In time management of journaling. In making your pages “pretty” for your journal. Or your responses drafted “just so”. Or hating an entry because your writing wasn’t as neat as you had hoped for because you had a super long day and still need to get dinner and haven’t returned emails and now you are cranky. THIS book is the solution.
The genius in this journaling book is in the format. Simple format. Each page has a clever thought or idea to respond to. No lines on the page staring back at you, mocking your short entry. Just a page with a short thought to consider, and maybe a cute graphic to accompany.
All you need to do is write a few words. Or a few phrases. Written in any direction. No need for fancy. And write on any page at any time. Got 30 seconds? Record a response. Want others to join in your journal? Use different colored pens. THIS is the journal of ALL journals!
If you’re looking for a PERFECT gift for the holidays – you just found it!
I received this book from the Blogging for Books program in exchange for this review but all opinions are my own.
I love this. I would love to have the I spirationalready planned out for me!
Not only is this book a must-have for me, but I now have a new blog/girl crush! You are adorable and I’m so excited to explore all of the amazing tips and inspiration you share on Glam Karen!
I love your my kitty entry! I’ve never looked at journal ideas like this but I think they are genius!
I love journaling, but that’s so cool that this journal offers inspirational sentence starters. I would use it, even though I already enjoy journaling.
What a cute idea for a journaling book. It’s almost like a diary or dare I date myself, a slam book. I’m not a big journaler – atrocious handwriting and all. But I love books of all kinds, including journals.
I haven’t thought about journaling for a long time, but I love the prompts! I think journaling would be great for this stage of life! I share shamelessly about my pets. =)
How clever is this?! I haven’t journaled in a long time but this is certainly a great way to get started.
What a fabulous IDEA for the new year! I love that you can record what you need and not have to journal a ton at once!
I’m a huge journal addict and I’d still love this! I love that it gives such good inspiration!
I love journals! They are awesome. I always try to start journaling at the beginning of the year and fail but this gives me hope that maybe I can do it this coming year!!! Thanks for the inspiration!
I recently purchased the FiveMinute Journal, but it isn’t working for me. I love to journal, but it feels to regimented and forced. I really love this idea because it lets you mind flow with a prompt.
I love the idea of a journal with a prompt! This is a great gift for those that might need a creative outlet but don’t really know where to start or how to initiate one.
I’m a journal junkie! Such a cute gift idea for friends/family, too! Thanks for the unique idea!
This is super cute! I love giving gifts that prompt imagination and creativity! This would be perfect for my 10 year old sister I think! She loves to write!
I dont hate journaling but this is cute. I would get this because its still fun!
I am not much of a journal-er anymore, but if I was, I would definitely like this! This would be great for gifts for a lot of my fellow booksellers.
