Must have flowers…always and always. And always. Know why? They instantly increase your happy factor. By far the quickest and most efficient way to bring a smile to your face and more joy to your heart. Happiness from flowers. And can’t we use that? Like, every-single-day? Not an opinion. This is science, y’all. A fact. Those neurons in our brains psychologically condition us humans to react differently to about a million different things. Just from the scent. Good scents = good feelings. Bad scents = bad feelings. Get it? Since flowers smell so fabulous, once we sniff the scent a rush of happiness ensues. Happiness, from flowers, just for you! Boom. #Science. Done and done.
Bloom baby, bloom! Research from Rutgers University determined that flowers have a positive impact on mental health. Age didn’t matter on the positive emotional effects. Flowers have an immediate impact on happiness. And, since flowers typically are displayed in a main space of a house a symbol for sharing.
“Flowers bring about positive emotional feelings in those who enter a room,” said Dr. Haviland-Jones. “They make the space more welcoming and create a sharing atmosphere.”
“You belong among the wildflowers”, as sung by Tom Petty. Not a bad plan. Daily reminders and immediate ways to increase the happy factor. Who’s in?
