I’ll admit it… most of the time I am not about the DIY. I’ve pinned dozens of great DIY ideas with great intent, but when it gets to the nuts and bolts of it I just don’t want to reeeeeeally commit to doing it. Wouldn’t it be easier if I just bought it instead of making it? This runs through my mind.
However, there is something super satisfying about making something yourself. So stumbling around Michaels in the dollar section I found some fun things.
No plan in place. Just found fun things that ended up in my shopping basket and eventually to the kitchen table. Now what?
Don’t underestimate the power of tinkering.
I did a few different tinkers with my DIY crafty items.

And voila…
That was fun…and my kitty appreciated the decor… but I didn’t LOVE it. So, back to the DIY drawing board.
Tinkering Idea #2: (I added some floral wire to this new game plan)
Wrapped it around each glass tube until it looked like this…and I did it twice for a top and bottom.
Next (and final) VOILA… Loving this DIY!

Now it’s YOUR turn. What would you like to DIY? If nothing jumps out to you, just add stuff to your shopping basket that “speaks to you” at the store and TINKER around with it at home. That’s what I did.
so, I’ve had my eye on an anthro version of these for a couple of years now. I want mine on wood, so it would take a little bit more effort, but I love the idea of making them yourself!!
