As a fashionista, I am in-love-with many, many designers. Love their styles, their techniques and their visions. I do, however, have a few favorites. A few that I just can’t.get.enough.of. Cynthia Rowley is one of those designers.
I was a lucky ducky to get to meet her at New York Fashion Week. Let me tell you – she was the nicest person I’ve ever met. Taking time to chat, answer questions, take photos and just be her super cool self… that was my time with her. She has a way of making each person she speaks with feel as if they are the most important person… and she gives you all of her undivided attention. Love her!
So… Get this: at the young age of 7 Cynthia Rowley constructed her very first dress! That is amazing. To this day I can barely sew on a button. From there she obviously knew her calling!
Her “collection has since grown to include women’s wear, eyewear, jewelry, handbags, shoes, legwear, swimwear, home sewing products, wetsuits, as well as collaborations with Johnson & Johnson Band-Aid Brand and Tweezerman. Rowley also recently designed a new tween collection called DreamPop, which is sold exclusively at JC Penney. The Cynthia Rowley Collection is sold in better department, specialty and online stores, as well as more than sixty Cynthia Rowley shops around the world.”
Yes, I own and use her designer band-aids. Its important to still look fashionable even with a hang-nail.
Tune in TONIGHT on Project Runway All-Stars as Cynthia Rowley returns as a guest judge! I can’t wait – I know its going to be epic!
