Hold on. Time to overthink our outfits. Why? We want cozy, chic outfits to lounge around in OR leave the house in. How to create that balance? Found! A few new outfit ideas to get you ready for cooler temps in the coziest and chicest way possible. Cleveland weather went from 90′ walking-on-the-sun temps to 60′ cold-and-rainy overnight. One day wearing lightweight camis and then the next day digging through our closets for wool socks. All happened in an instant. And I’m not mad about it. At all. But, time to update outfits and being comfortable is a major priority.
♡ The Key to Cozy Chic…♡
The key is in owning a few KEY pieces as the foundation. No need to buy dozens of new pieces to update your wardrobe for cold temps. The key pieces in each of the categories (below) will be mixed and matched to make it work. But here’s the FINE PRINT; make sure they are QUALITY pieces. Present yourself in a sophisticated way. Not as if you just came off of the treadmill or woke from a nap.
- Leggings: Invest in quality. No one wants thin or see-through leggings or ones that lose their stretch or rich color after a few washes.
- Tunics: No brainer go-to piece to pair with leggings or accessorize up for a night out.
- Lined Pants: When its freezing out, nothing feels better than fleece lined pants.
- Pajamas in Public: Chic, satin pajama tops are ideal for lounging at home but also acceptable to wear around town.
♡ Lined Leggings ♡
Not only are these pants on trend in camo, but they are LINED in fleece and that makes the world a better place right there.
♡ Pajama Top Trend ♡
Pssst… don’t take this trend LITERALLY. Tossing on a top you sleep in isn’t how this trend works. Good news is that this can create a classic look or you can edge it up for more street style.
♡ Tunics & Leggings ♡
Invest in quality, ladies. This is not a drill. Quality leggings may have a higher price tag, but SO worth it. You are paying for a thicker material, better resilience in the washing/drying process, holding it’s shape for a much longer time and all that makes you look better. Capisci?
Keep it simple but keep it quality.
Stay tuned for future posts with MORE outfit ideas on each of these cozy trends!
