Dreaming about the perfect mini-getaway?
Clevelanders – This is the time when spring fever hits. Big time. The struggle is real. Your friends are taking trips…taking vacations… getting away. Posting on Facebook. Where is your trip? Is that pesky budget limiting your fun? Boo Budget. There is an answer. A weekend drive (yes – I said drive) to Chicago. Under 6 hours away, you can easily get there before you blink. Gas prices are ideal right now. Meaning…you can have a fabulous city weekend and enjoy a little fun!
The Hyatt Regency Chicago is THE top choice of where I stay for a million reasons. Vibrant, Clean, Friendly Staff, Modern, Perfectly Located and always a Trusted Choice.
Confession: While here, in the mornings, most find it hard to leave the bed. THIS cozy bed. A major part of a relaxing vacation. Am I wrong?
After a great night’s rest in this snuggly bed… you will be ready to roll! The consistent Wifi with the room setup = perfect for lounging and working before a busy day in Chicago.
The Hyatt Regency Chicago is in THE prime location. Right by Maggie Daley Park, Navy Pier, Millennium Park, The Art Institute of Chicago and the Magnificent Mile.
And shopping. Hello Cartier.
The Hyatt Regency Chicago is only blocks away from some MUST do activities while in CHI-town. The cupcake ATM. We need cupcake ATMs in every corner, right? This should be an issue all Americans are discussing now. #Priorities
Millennium Park: Steps away from the Hyatt Regency Chicago. Feels like a cross section of the world and brings people together.
WOW moment: Artwork. Everywhere here. What about these? Designed by Spanish artist Jaume Plensa, the Crown Fountain in Millennium Park is a major addition to the city’s world-renowned public art collection.
Looks like ordinary bricks closely… but…
if you look from further away…
These two 50-foot glass block towers (at each end) project video images from a broad social spectrum of Chicago citizens. What? Yes – it IS that cool.
The Bean. It’s required to see. Think it’s too cliche? Whatev. It’s a happy vibe full of people and a crucial photo opp.
Navy Pier? Yes – glad you mentioned it. A few short blocks away. So Chicago.
Forget the taxi! Rent a bike ANYWHERE around town with these bikes! So convenient and so environmentally friendly/fun!
The Hyatt Regency Chicago has so many luxurious services. The Regency Club. Open for breakfast, afternoon snacks, h’orderves and drinks… Available from 6:30am until 9:00pm to compliment cravings. Outgoing staff and delish food.
Oh I see you, fitness fans. The Hyatt Regency Chicago‘s fitness center is everything and more. Or.. not interested in leaving the room for cardio but still looking for your Barre? The Hyatt Regency Chicago has a partnership with Barre and offers you a code for in-room videos. Where have you seen this ever at any other hotels? No where.
CHICAGO DINING: If you’re like many… after a LONG day of shopping, sight-seeing and having a jam packed day, you are NOT psyched to leave the swank hotel (again) to walk to a restaurant. Here’s a thought: What about catching an elevator down to hit high-quality restaurants? Right in your hotel. Lucky for you the Hyatt Regency Chicago has it all. Room service is cozy, but the hotel also has quality steaks and sushi at Stetsons, American fare at American Craft Kitchen, apps everywhere, and even to-go items at Market Chicago. All just a few floors down via the elevator.
After dinner drink? Cheers to the Big Bar. Take a peek. Order the Navy Pear cocktail. Trust. It’s delish.
Vay-Cay Time: Do it. Smile all weekend with this much needed break. Book your mini-getaway and do it with a SPECIAL CODE. This code unlocks an extra 15% off discount just for GlamKaren followers – enter code SMRATE and get ready for a memorable weekend. You sooooo deserve this! And a cupcake.

Cupcake atm?! What?! We need one of those around here! We took a weekend getaway to Chicago two years ago, it was so fun! We stayed on the Mile so that we could walk just about everywhere to avoid taking the car, best way to do it!
That cupcake photo is magazine worthy. It’s making me want to visit just for that.
haha When you said it was hard to leave your bed, I know how you feel. My husband and I always feel guilty because we waste a part of the day we could be exploring while on vacation, in bed, because it’s always so comfy!
I have never been to Chicago, I feel like I haven’t been anywhere. I think the nearest cupcake atm is about 2 hours from me. The hotel and mini getaway looks amazing. I am in need right now for one.
The architecture and street art is so dope I love how they play with different shapes. Looks like you had a wonderful time even if it was hard to leave your bed lol.
Fun and amazing !!! Im so jealous this would be the perfect mini getaway and ao different for me.
I haven’t been to Chicago since I was a teen but I enjoyed it a lot when I was there. It looks like you had a great time.
