I have a few go-to cookbooks for many of my meals and desserts, and this is one of them. The Best and Lightest: 150 Healthy Recipes for Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner offers you an amazing selection of meals. It’s currently the #1 new release in U.S. Regional Cooking and has lots of 5-star reviews on a bunch of different sites.
Food Network Magazine’s test kitchen chefs have lightened up all the foods you crave. Let’s chat about the shrimp and grits I made last night. wowza. Delish and healthy.
For you visual people… you’ll love that this cookbook has easy to identify icons showing which recipes are vegan, vegetarian and gluten-free. SO helpful!
Today as I was stuck at home while a crazy snowy white-out was happening outside my window I flipped through the book and came across the coconut macaroon recipe. Hmmm, how did that happen? Anyway…moving on… I saw how simple it was to bake and how few ingredients were required. Bonus: gluten free!
Yum and double yum.
Every-single-meal in this book is under 500 calories – but you wont skimp on taste or portion size. The recipes are user friendly and easy to prep.
And voila – the really yummy coconut macaroons! What do you think?
Set a kitchen goal this year and try out this cookbook – you’ll be really happy you did!
I received this book from the Blogging for Books program in exchange for this review but all opinions are my own.
