Turns out hair extensions are not JUST “one size fits all.”
🖤 Real talk: Ever thought about getting hair extensions? Or curious about how to get that Kardashian thick hair? #Guilty.
But are you….
- ➰ pretty nervous it will damage your hair?
- ➰ scared it will feel unnatural?
- ➰ wondering if it will cost you your first born child?
- ➰ thinking it will take an entire-day just to do your hair?
- ➰ hoping a hair stylist will come home with you to maintain them?
🖤Remember the post HERE all about TAPE-IN extensions?
🖤Or how to style extensions HERE?
💡 IDEA: Get customized extensions – a combo of some tape and some keratin for a PERFECT fit. No reason you have to ONLY get one type. I use keratin extensions on the sides with tape-in extensions in the back. Why? Keratin bonds are tiny so very hard to detect. I can pull back my hair, let it blow in the wind or swim in the ocean and it’s crazy hard to notice I even have extensions. But – the tape-in extensions have a wide base so better in the back of my head to give my hair length and fullness without anyone seeing them.
Here’s what the pros (my Cleveland stylists Nicole and Ashley) are sharing with YOU to maximize your experience with extensions.

Extensions are something I have never done or even thought about doing. I just figured the price, upkeep and so on would be way to much for me to handle. Good you answered all my questions and now I know.
Glad to inform you of all the things you were wondering about hair extensions! It’s worth a try!
What about those of us with unruly, curly hair? Is this an option? LOL, the humidity these days has my hair like, “oh my!”
There’s actually a blow out that you can do to match the curly hair, it also keeps your hair in awesome shape! I know what you mean! Crazy weather!
I have always been afraid that extensions would pull out my hair and put pressure on my own hair. I would also not be confident the hair extension would blend into my color. They do seem interesting for a change.
There are so many different shades so I’m sure they’ll find one that matches your hair color. As for the effect on your natural hair, that’s why it’s important to look for a salon that you trust and has knowledge in putting on extensions so you don’t have to worry about your natural hair being damaged. So important! And it is a nice change!
You hair looks amazing! I love the way it turned out. Love your tips as well. I have to invest in the brush you’re mentioned.
Thanks so much! It’s really all about how skilled your stylist is and they did an amazing job on my hair, that’s for sure!
I have been thinking about getting hair extensions. I would love to have some fuller, longer hair.
It’s really worth it! Especially if you find people who are skilled to do it, like Ashley for the tape-in extensions and Nicole for the Keratin bonds!
I know someone who has been thinking about getting hair extensions. I will have to share this post with her.
That would be amazing! I’m sure she’s going to find this really helpful when deciding what to get!
I’ve only had extensions once in my life and I was 17. They were braided in. SO painful! I would love to try them again, but this time a different method.
That has got to hurt! It’s so important to have more options when it comes to these things and I made sure to show you guys that! Nicole and Ashley were both awesome in their field.
Hair extensions are a life saver especially when you want to have long hair for some special occasions. I cut my hair short a couple of months ago and didn’t like it. Hair extensions came to the rescue!
That’s so true! They’re an amazing solution to bad hair cut, lol. It’s also important to find the best people to do it!
Thanks for the thorough explanation of hair extensions. I honestly had no idea how they were applied or all that is involved.
You’re welcome! It really makes a difference when you pick the right experts to take care of your hair! Ashley and Nicole are both awesome!
Every time I have ever cut my hair, I’ve hated it! It is nice to have the option of getting hair extensions if you aren’t happy with the length of your hair. It seems like they have really come a long way, too.
That’s so true! Yes they have, not like the extensions in the past that could damage your hair and hurt your scalp. The key also is to find hair stylists that know everything there is to know about extensions like Nicole and Ashley!
I would LOVE to get hair extensions but I’m scared I’m too rough on my hair to do it!! I need tot ry it one day.
That’s why it’s good to know your options. These are definitely not rough on your hair, especially since they’re done by people who knows how to do it well.
Great tips! It’s great to know this stuff beforehand to know if you really want to get hair extensions. The outcome looks amazing, they did an amazing job.
Thanks so much! That’s so true and it’s important to find hairstylists that you can trust — in my case, Nicole and Ashley!
It’s times like these when I am happy being a man. Way too many options. I have heard though that keratin is messier but lasts longer. Guess I’ll find out in a frenzy years here with my girls
Haha! You have daughters? Then, yes, you’ll definitely know in a few years what’s that going to be like. But I do hope they find awesome hairstylists to do it!
I have never tried hair extension in my life. My hair has been always long but now that I cut it shorter, I might give it a try.
It’s really amazing especially if you find hairstylists like Nicole and Ashley, you’re going to appreciate it more!
This is so cool! I have never had them but always wanted them!
Hope this opens your mind to getting them! Extensions are so much fun especially when done by the right people!
This is something I have ALWAYS wanted to do, but just never did. Thank you for sharing all of your tips and pros and cons!
You’re so welcome, it’s nice to know your options! It’s also nice to find people who are skilled and talented when it comes to extensions!
I made my own clip in extensions once that were pretty great! But, I’m a less work as possible wig kind of person if I’m in a pinch! lol.
That’s awesome! I’ve always relied on my hair stylists for extensions. I’ve never tried a wig before.
I’ve never had extensions but I’ve no reason to not try it especially after reading this super informative article! I think they did an amazing job and a combination of both tape in and keratin bond extensions seems to be the best solution!
You’re so in for a treat if you give it a try! It pays to find amazing hair stylists to do it. Their knowledge in this makes it even more awesome!
Very informative and your hair looks great!
Thank you! Ashley and Nicole did an awesome job with my hair!!!
I love hair extensions and where them when I want to be more dressed up. I also used them as a protective style. You provided great tips/about extensions.
I do too! That’s a great way to use extensions. Thanks, glad you enjoyed my post!
I’ve never had hair extensions. Until I had kids, my hair was super thick. Now it could use some help and your blend of options sounds like a great strategy!
I think you’ll love this! It’s really good to find hairstylists that will work with what your hair truly needs.
Your hair looks amazing! I’ve gotten hair extensions before but didn’t know any of this before getting them done.
Thanks so much, it’s all because of Ashley and Nicole! I’m glad you learned more about extensions from my post!
