Champagne cocktails, check. Yummy brunch, check. Silent auction, check. Supporting a great cause? Check. Fashionable and fabulous Cleveland peeps, check. Seriously – what more could I ask for on a Saturday afternoon? All signs looked fashionable for the Ronald McDonald House of Cleveland and Dillard’s Familia XXVI Fashion event.
So, this was a Cleveland event. Why do you want to read more? Because events like these are in every-single-city and are events that YOU should be a part of. Many charitable organizations have fashion events to raise money to help support their amazing work. This Cleveland event is in its 26th year and is bigger and better every year. The money raised at this event helps the RMH of Cleveland achieve its mission of supporting familiar whose children receive treatment at area medical centers by providing a home-like environment and essential resources and services.
Local Cleveland celebs, including news anchors, Olympic athletes and more participate as models for the fall fashions. Dominique Moceanu (Olympic Gold Metal Gymnast), Loree Vick (University Hospitals), and Kris Pickel (WKYC news anchor) were among the celebs. They make the event super fun while showing their support for their city and for this cause. All good stuff in my book.
Today was a fun event, yes. But really it reminded me that I’m pretty lucky and am grateful for what I have. Thrilled to be a patron of the event and be a part of the fashionable fun!
What should you do next? Check your city’s fashionable events and be a part of something really pretty cool!
Ok, time to shop!
