Rise and Dine! I don’t know about you, but breakfasts are my favorite meals. Mention brunch and I am all about it. #BrunchHadMeLike….The blueberry pancakes or quiche or eggs benedict or even a fancy mimosa – all things that make me go mmmmmmm…
There are a few hot spots in Cleveland for brunch – the places that are packed from the moment they open until their closing. Places like Fire Food and Drink or Lucky’s Cafe. THE best. Or a bagel from Bialys (voted in the TOP 10 of best bagels in America from USA Today)
I got my hands on a cookbook that I had good feelings about. America’s Best Breakfasts. Although not all states are included in this breakfast book, the authors found their faves from the west coast all the way to my hometown of Cleveland! #ThisIsCLE. Recipes that are cult classics from the areas of the country that the authors traveled include caramelized grapefruit with basil sugar, lobster scrambled eggs, Croque Monsier, fruit crepes with whipped cream and more! I decided to test out one that caught my eye. The corn and Andouille skillet fritters.
These fritters were just the landing spot of where the poached eggs landed. Topped with a homemade hollandaise sauce, this was an updaded style of eggs benedict.
Super delish and super filling – but really worth the calories. Do I have you drooling yet? Looks like you might need to check out this book. It’s a keeper. There are about a dozen more recipes I am dying to try out asap – because BRUNCH is always a good idea!
What is your favorite breakfast recipe or local place to grab a fab brunch?

I received this book from the Blogging for Books program in exchange for this review but all opinions are my own.
Not only do we make big breakfasts on the weekends, we make brinner at least once a week. This would be my new favorite cookbook 🙂
This looks like a great cookbook for us! We love a good breakfast and we are always looking for a new inspiration! Plus, I have a cookbook addiction and will use any excuse to buy a new cookbook!
I’ve never tried making poached eggs, but that skillet and eggs dish look amazing. We usually do pancakes for breakfast, my 6 year old loves them. But I always try to add a egg dish with them, too!
During the week I will grab either a hard boiled egg or some almonds with a piece of fruit. On the weekends though bring on the big breakfast!!!
I love brunch because I can enjoy all the delicious breakfast foods in the afternoon 😉 My favorite is to make a frittata with dinner leftovers.
I am all about breakfast, too. It’s the first thing we scope out when we know we are going on vacation. The cookbook sounds fun.
Yum, I love brunch ideas too, I can’t cook very early in the morning. This looks like a fun cookbook and I always need new brunch recipes. Thanks for sharing.
Pancakes are my favorite. I could eat them morning, noon or night!
I would love to use this cookbook, especially on the weekends! They’d be fun to try with all the kids. My parents love making big breakfasts when we visit. Big breakfasts are the best!
This looks absolutely amazing! I am going to have to look into this cookbook! Sounds like something we would love!
Omg nothing better than a big breakfast!!! Me do brunch every Sunday and stuff ourselves with yummy breakfast foods!
I’m a huge breakfast fan, and poached eggs are my go to – so yum! This is a great post 🙂
These breakfast ideas look really delicious. It’s such a fun and versatile meal so it’s fun to take time to experiment with different recipes.
OH MAN this looks delish! Breakfast food is my absolute fave and this is dreamy!
Breakfast is one of my favorite meals, and this looks good! I love the updated version of the bennedict.
